I have some great sites for cheap vacations!!! For cruises we like www.vacationstogo.com and for the all inclusive resorts we have been told by friends that this site is the bomb diggity www.applevacations.com We are always up for a cruise if anyone wants to be our cruising buddies :) We are planning on going later this year with Brads sister Tara and her hubby and their friends if we can get more people to go the better and the funner it is. I think we will probably be doing the carribean cruise that goes to Roanan, Cozumel, Belize and Costa Maya. The prices are pretty good around 350 to 450 a person. Let us know if you wanna come :)

I haven't gotten on my blog for a while. Well I guess its time for me to snap out of it and post something. So this is something! :) Since the last posting not a whole lot has changed. Brad and I still work work work. We are hoping to take some more time this summer to play. I need to get myself in shape. I got a steal of a deal from my friend on a treadmill and that was in January and I have only ran on it like 4 times... horrible... I know! So the plan is to do things that trick my brain into thinking Im doing something fun rather than exercise...Ha! Any ideas??? Dont say get a gym membership cuz i have one... paid 200 bucks for it... it exp in July and I have only used that 4 times :/ dont plan on using it again either! I did just get a bike and put a basket on the front :) Im trying to teach Louie to ride in the basket. Its hilarious... I look like Dorothy on the Wizard of Oz, all the little kids stop and look at me like I'm a whacko, but its fun. Well thats about it. Help me out.

So Lexi is home and doing better today... watching cartoons. She is still on morphine but her injuries haven't seemed to hurt her personality :) She is all wrapped up and has a cone on her head to keep her from touching at anything. Pray for no infections. Thanks for everyones prayers and concern! I started going through old emails to see if I had some pics of my sisters and their kids. All I could find was these and they are about a year old.

I don't really think I have explained my moms side of the family very well on my blog. I guess I dont really see them very much and not because I dont want to but because they live the farthest away and all the pictures you see that I have are mostly all e-mailed to me because I am a crappy picture taker. I really need to shed some light on my family I love and was raised with. I know sometimes I'd like to smack some sense into them but I still love them. I am the oldest on my moms side. I have 3 little sisters. Raquel who is 25 and has a little girl Lexie and married to Steven, Chrissy who is 23 and has a little boy Crue and is married to Jacob, and Bailee who is 20 and thinks she has it all figured out but is very confused. My mom Diana and dad Randy were married when I was 8 and my dad Randy adopted all of us girls! He raised us all .... and taught us how to hunt, fight (mainly box....which caused a lot of early lost teeth), ride horses, camp, work hard, laugh hard and sing in unison on our trail rides and campouts to Bar-J Wranglers... we know every song basically. We lived on a ranch in Felt Idaho (Teton Valley Idaho... about 30 min. from Jackson WY) we all use to participate with my dad at the local rodeo's, we collected the eggs in the morning after I beat off Roy our rotten rooster... I think my mom broke two purse straps on that stinker! He was mean! We helped my dad feed all our horses, cows, chickens, cats, dogs, farrets, you name it we had it at one point. We are all animal lovers for sure and our childhood has a lot to do with that. Well I gues that leads me to why I am reminiscing.... we had an unfortunate event happen last night. My niece Lexi who is 5 was attacked by a pitbull. She spent the night in critical condition. The plastic surgeon said he stopped counting the stitches after 300. She has a 10 inch laceration going down the back of her head and a 6 inch laceration going across the other direction on top of her head closer to the forehead. She has several cuts elsewhere and a "U" shaped laceration between her eyes. She is stable but the surgeon said to pray for no infection where all the damage is so close to her brain and she is so young. I am asking everyone to please remember my family in your prayers. They are going through a lot right now. Love you all.

I dont think I have mentioned the reason why this event to go see my little brother play football was so important to me. Taylor and I have never actually met. We have the same dad but different moms. I didn't meet my real dad until I was 2o years old. So meeting my little brother for the first time... there are no words to explain it! Of coarse I was shaking like crazy and on the brink of tears but I held it together and just kept hugging and touching him! I only talked with him briefly but it was soooo sooo worth it! I hope this is the beginning of a life long relationship! He is a sweety!!! I already love him like I have known him my whole life.

More Sleep Screams!

So I am half tempted to set up a motion sensore recording in our room. This is how our night went last night:
Its 11:30 pm and I am sound asleep... we go to bed like 9:30 or 10:00pm..... and all of the sudden I am wakened from my neurotic husband jumping out of bed and dancing around the room screaming SNAAAAKE!!!
We finally get back to bed, our blood pressure returns to normal and we doze to sleep.... only until about 12:10 when I SWEAR I hear a window break and the glass shattering on the tile floor! Louie (our yorky) comes running in the room right as I sit up in bed dazed and confused and frantically start slapping and pounding at Brad to wake up.
Brad and I walk through the whole house, check all the windows, look in the garage, look outside.... nothing. Now Brads calling me the crazy one! We are not having a good nights rest!
We finally get to sleep I dont know what time but I locked our bedroom door and got my pepper spray set on the bed stand right where I could grab it fast... maybe thats not a good idea since Brad is the one startling me half the time!
Then once again at around 2:00 Brad sits up screaming which results in me slapping him and awake and swearing at him in the process!
I have tried to come to a conclusion what causes these night screams .... but its happened since I have been married to him. Maybe 3 or 4 nights out of the month. It use to not happen so much but I think its getting worse. What the heck should do?

Holy crap I havent posted in forever!
I am going to just write thoughts for a moment.... so bear with me.
Trying to learn patience today.
Lets just say driving is not when I am at my best!
I need a sign that says "the world does not revolve around you Ashley!"
I guess the first thing to fixing a bad thing is first of all admiting you have a "Thing".
I was laughing my butt off tonight as Jeff Lewis on Flipping out told Jenni that her outfit was so tight he could see her ovaries!!! Ha! Thats awesome!

I love my husband. He has cooked me chicken noodle soup twice in the last week!

Anyways, my family reunion was so good! I am happy I got to see some of my family. I miss them so much! I actually didn't draw blood and I have no bald patches of hair! Its a miracle!!!
I am getting GREY HAIR! And not just a little! Seriously! Amber, I need my hair done bad! I know I should not pluck the grey hair.... but I have to on my part!!! I'd rather be bald.... well maybe not but still...
I think my friends are the bomb diggity! Maybe if I get a copy of our most recent pic I will share. I will see what I can do.... all I can say is I love them!
So you know how when you work for a doctor and all these ppl come in with all these different problems and then after a while you start diagnosing your self with all the same problems??? well yeah I need to stop!!!
I am getting old! I have spider veins.... and age spots.... and incompitent veins.... and cherry angiomas....
..... and on top of that..... a sore throat, stuffed up head, bulging eyes cuz of snot pressure, and not to mention CRAMPS!!!! Blah! What the crap!
Right about now I am sounding like one of those ppl that suck the energy from you cuz all they can do is complain... and they are always the victim .... you know what I'm talking about?
Maybe I need to think of the glass half full instead of half empty... Im really not a negative person..... I may be evil tho... only sometimes.... when I was little I secretly wanted all the evil witches to win..... is that evil?!

Now we just need the guests.... hint hint! I still need to get some decor up on the walls... and I'm thinking I want brad to make a fun headboard but I am so proud of the out come. I LOVE the colors! Its my "Pier room" since my favorite place to visit is the piers. When I have guests that are on vacation I want it to feel authentic... besides the colors are so soothing, tranquil and happy.... to me anyways. :)

P.S. I will let you in on a little secret.... the curtain rod all together cost me under $20!!! Theres not a good picture of it but basically you get a steel pole from Home-Depo or Lowes cut it to the length you want, hammer in pieces of wood that you have sized and cut out into each end then go to Lowes and get the screw-in ends. Then spray paint the hole thing when your done! Vwallla! You can thank my genius husband for that!

So basically this is my new car!!!! Ha I wish!!!!!!! This thing is worth more than my life! Our neighbor parked it in our drive way for just a few minutes while he was loading up all his show cars! Brad and I were all smiles and I had to bust the camera out. The speedometer went to 270! WoW!!! No we didn't get to drive it... oh well... it was still fun to look at!

I totally read 3 of Marcia Lynn McClures books this weekend and they were all sooooo good but I think I have a new favorite! A Crimson Frost, then Saphyr Snow. They are really good.... my poor husband! I call my sister in law Tara...the one that got me addicted.... and we rant and rave about each one that we read! I love it! Thanks Tara.... I don't think Brad appreciates it though but it's fun to have someone to talk to that has read them... and loves them!

Oh and P.S. we did go up to Kolob and Springdale so I didn't just read all weekend long... its sooo pretty! We hit the "car seat burns my A@#" weather the last two days.... uuuggghhh! Oh well 3 months of swoobs, swass, and as Brad says "Swalls" is not bad... I will take it! Do ya think I've offended anyone?!Oh dang.

I guess we are headed up to the valley for a Miller reunion the end of July! Yay.... finally.... huckleberrys!!!!! MMMMMMMmmmmmmm! I haven't seen some of my cousins since before I graduated... I can't believe thats been almost 10 years.... I'm getting old... as my grandma would say (because we don't have kids yet) "Your no spring chicken!" Well.... its a good thing theres such thing as Botox! But its kinda confusing for Brad cuz he can't tell when he's skating on thin ice.... haahhaa. I found this painting for 5 bucks and the dresser for 5 bucks! I am going to put a new frame around the painting, dont you think it goes great! I couldn't believe it when I found it! I was doing the "smartypants" dance when I found it. The dresser I think I am going to sand it down and re-paint white. Then Pam my mom gave me the sea shells. Love it! Its coming together!

So I know I dont post regularly but we have been buisy around the house. We are re-doing our guest bedroom. The pillow covers are what inspired me. Thats why I took a picture of them. Brad has done most of the work tho, he built the frame around the window and he put new and much bigger baseboards on.... and we still are going to do white waynes coating that will be about 4 to 4 1/2 feet high up the walls. I wanted to find some beach worn wood to make the room look "pierish" since I love the piers in Cali but I am still working on that. Brad also made my 3 big boxes in our living room which is the top picture. Next on Brad's wishlist is a planer and a jointer so he can start building furniture. Anyone care to donate? You may get some furniture out of it....you never know. We plan to tackle our front entry way next then a coffee table for our living room.... then the master bedroom. Brads just a little worried I want to do waynes coating in there too. Ha! Hes right! I told him I wanted it through the whole house and he just gave me a wide eyed stare!

This year Brad and I were in charge of our family reunion. Everyone came down to us and we went swimming to Sandhollow. It was really fun... all except getting the swimmers itch. Eeek. Anyways,thanks everyone. We love having you down. Can't wait for next years reunion! Heres some pictures of throughout the weekend.

Louie was being chased by a dog that had only one thing on his mind... so he was desperate and started swimming out into the middle of the lake. I was scared to death and paddling frantically towards him. Then when he finally made it he told me how mad he was at me for leaving him and how cold he was it was pretty cute after he was finally safe and my panic turned to relief.

My computer crashed a while ago so we got a laptop and it is great but I cant figure out how to download the pictures. I was totally bummed the night it crashed cuz we had just gotten home from the second hand serenade concert and I had just got done downloading all of our pictures and deleting them off my camera when my computer had a melt down. Literally, CRAPPY! Brad even caught the drumstick from Parachute's drummer. So bear with me for the pictures and what we have been up to.

Does anyone know what causes sleep talk or for instance... Sleep Scream!!?? Brad has issues with Snakes. He is scared to death of them! This has totally been interupting my peacful nights when I am interupted from my dead sleep to my mad man husband screaming and jumping over me in the middle of the night because he thinks there is a snake after him "It was slidding down the mountain to get me!" This has happened MORE than once or twice in the last few months but this one happened last night!
Let me narrate how one night went just recently.
Brad Jumps and Screams - "There's a lizard over there!!!"
Me - "What? Brad wake up"
Brad - "Look at that big freaking lizzard! Thats a Big Freaking Lizzard!!!"
Me - "Brad theres no Giant Lizzard hon, Wake up!"
So I get up to go to the bathroom cuz I am fully awake now and exhausted after 4 nights in a row of being STARTLED from Brads relentless sleep screaming! On my way to the bathroom Brad is still screaming at me to get away from the lizard because its going to get me!!!
Does ANYONE know what may cause this and the cure?! HA! Cuz I'm going crazy!

6 things that make me happy are:
#1. When I pray and feel the spirit overwhelm me. I feel like everything in the world is just perfect and that I am loved so much and I am so lucky to be blessed with everything I have. I love feeling close to my Heavenly Father. Prayer is such a powerful thing.
2. My hubby putting his arms around me and holding me and telling me that he loves me so much and snuggling.
3. Dancing... dancing in my kitchen, goofy dancing with brad, goofy dancing with anyone, dancing in the rain, just dancing. Shakin' that thang, ya know. Ha!
4. Getting a phone call from an old friend just cuz they were thinking about me.
5. Going on VACATION!!! (Not to crowded places, this may cause the opposite effect:P)
6. Laying in the grass on a sunny day and feeling the sun on my skin, the smell of spring and new flowers blooming, just relaxing and hanging out with the ones I love.

Parade of Homes

So this weekend all my sister in-laws came down and stayed with us to go to the parade of homes. It was way fun. Brad and I finished up a couple of houses today, we went and saw the big one #19 The Maison Enchante. HOLY MOLY, this house is HUGE and its totally liveable. I was surprised cuz sometimes the big ones are totally unpractical and there is no way you could "live" in them. But this house was amazing! Tara, Kati, Amy... you missed out! You totally should have seen that one before you left. My favorite though was a really small one. House #18 The Alicante. It was so dang unique and classy on the inside. It really reminded me of taking classical and contemporary and mixing them together. AWESOME. I didn't care for the outside look much though. I didn't take any pictures and I haven't added any pics lately cuz my camera is posessed and doesn't work very well, so I am just waiting for a new one to magically appear! :)

Sooo, the whole facebook thing got a little crazy and was to much like a highschool reunion and I think it gave my computer a virus so I deactivated myself. I decided I like the blog better, even if it takes a little more time.
My life has been crazy lately. I recently went up to Idaho to see my little sis Chrissy and her baby my brand new little nephew Crue. He is such a cute little "Monkey" (What Chrissy calls him constantly)If you know Chrissy at all she is and was all about Monkeys when she was little.
Work has been crazy too. That HCG diet is nutso. We have between 20 and 30 new patients each day that want HCG.
CURTAINS! AAAAHHHH! I am still having issues with the whole curtain thing. If you have any ideas PLEASE, I am begging you, HELP ME!!!
My little sister Bailee is going to be coming down to live with us. She is scheduled to be down sometime this week.
We have a bishops interview tonight... I dont know what he has in mind, but Brad just got called to be the new scouts leader so we are both convinced its not about him... eeek.

I know its DARK! But just wait till I get done. It looks alot darker now cuz I took the picture at night so no light was coming throught my windows. But if you wanna see what I want to do just look in the new Ikea magazing on pg 163. Im accenting in red and white so it will really look awesome when I'm done. Brad has done such an awesome job doing the "honey do list". Everything is still in the middle of the room but we FINALLY got the painting done in the living room, now we just need to tackle the rest of the house...Oops (Note: Do not go througout your house painting randomly on the walls in almost EVERY room until you really know you will be painting that room within the following few days!) I am actually going to put the curtains that I have in our dining room in the Living room instead and find darker curtains for the dining room to match the black baseboards... I know... I was daring, but I ended up loving it. I am considering painting all my baseboards black throughout the whole house. Haven't got Brad talked into that one yet but we'll see.

So Brad and I were totally mezmerized by the pineapple plant, so we had to get it, I don't know why but I thought they always grew on trees. I know... I should have been born a blonde. And the other plant is my "hairy plant". Thats what I call it anyways. My sister in-law kati has this same plant and she inspired me to get it. Her's is huge and she says she has to give it hair cuts all the time or it would over take everything. So maybe my hair cutting career isn't quite over yet. (;

So we were up at Brads parents this last weekend in Lehi and the colors were gorgeous so I had to throw a family picture together, besides this is the only way that I will get Brad to do them, quick and just a little painful. He wines the whole time! But I still lub him so much! I think we will probably need to do some retakes cuz I look like an army soldier standing at attention. Thanks again Kati for buying the awesome camera (after brad lured you into buying it), going with us randomly to take the pictures and for offering to do our Christmas cards! You Rock! So Im laying in bed trying to sleep but I cant cuz I feel bad! I'm a mean aunt Ashley! Let me explain... So earlier I was checking my e-mail and totally forgot about doing the Relief Society Program for our ward for Sunday (tomorrow) and I didn't tell anyone I would be out of town. So I was trying to re-create a format to email someone, I didn't know who yet, so they would have a program. Well, it wasn't working so well and I was getting upset. Meanwhile my nephews were just being crazy boys, which they are most of the time anyways, but tonight they were being EXTRA naughty for some reason and the BYU game was on (I dont care for the game at all) and everyone was yelling and just making enough noise to make me go NUTSO especially with the kids running around screaming. There's a computer room upstairs and my brother-in-law who just got home from his mission, bought a brand new really nice laptop yesterday and told me to keep the kids out of the upstairs. So here I am clear across the house in a dark and somewhat quiet room trying to get my relief society program figured out and I hear someone say to the boys to get out of the computer room, which I had already told them earlier more than once not to play up there. I jumped up fast to go make sure they werent torching the brand new computer and maybe I got a little carried away cuz I ran up the stairs and grabbed all the boys and told them to get their butts down stairs! Dax was the last one that I grabbed and I gave him a little tap on the butt, this is the kind of tap that guys give each other as a "good game" tap at the end of baseball games, so it totally wasn't even hard. Well as I tapped him he tripped and it kinda looked like I pushed him down the stairs and I think Tara, his mom, thought I pushed him down, which wasn't the case but I still feel really bad. So, Tara I'm sorry I would never push Dax down. I may look like I'm being firm with the boys but I'm really not. The truth is I'm a push over and I'm sorry.

This is a fun little game I saw and since its easier than the other tag games like write 12 things about your self or all the other "take time to do" games I will actually do this one. You have to empty your purse of all the contents and take a picture of what you lug around with yourself. How fun and easy!! Finally!

I seriously think I'm in love! This little baby is... there's no words to explain it, she is a doll. I love her so much! I just want to bite her she is so cute!!! Brads like "No babies, kick and scream, cry, poop, show her how you really are!" He's just a scardy cat but it is pretty funny watching him squirm when I say "Your gonna have to be a daddy someday!"

This is Louie, my lil' handsome woofers! He loves diving into my curtains and blinds, running and jumping off my furniture like a holy terror just to kill a fly. I laugh my butt off whenever he does it. Its hillarious to watch his little butt stuck in the air and his tail going a hundred mph while he devours these poor flies! Its actually kinda nice, I don't need a fly swatter.

So I know its been a while since I've done hair. For a very good reason!!!! I hate it!!! This is a picture of my friend Natalie that went with me to hair school and is having drama with finding someone up in Salt Lake to do her hair since we moved down here. Nat decided to come and visit this weekend and asked if I could help "fix" her hair. So heres a picture of last night or should I say this morning at oh somewhere in between the beggining and the end of a disaster! We were seriously deliriouse and laughing our guts out at ourselves! This picture was taken around six o'clock this morning. The last round of foils that I could stand up and do! (I was sooooo tired. We started her hair on a whim around 11:00 P.M. and never really ended up going to bed last night because we encountered... oh lets see RED and ORANGE, oh and then BLACK not mention the DAMAGE!!! Holy crap if anyone EVER asks me to do their hair again... lets just say Ill kill you if you ask me! Love ya though. (:

Memphis was having so much fun climbing all over and uder rocks. So Cute!! We got a little nervous though when we went on top of the big rocks so "Bompa" put him on his shoulders so Tara wouldn't have a heart attack!

Red Cliffs Hike

This weekend Pam, Dave, David, Tara and Memphis came down to visit us in Saint George at our new home. We went to the Red Cliffs and hiked up the rocks. It was so fun having them here. We miss them sooo much. We are hoping everyone will just move down here!!! :)
