Yardsale finds for our guest bedroom!

I found this painting for 5 bucks and the dresser for 5 bucks! I am going to put a new frame around the painting, dont you think it goes great! I couldn't believe it when I found it! I was doing the "smartypants" dance when I found it. The dresser I think I am going to sand it down and re-paint white. Then Pam my mom gave me the sea shells. Love it! Its coming together!

Yay! The Wayne's Coating is up!!!

Brad finally finished putting up the wayne's coating. Now for the decorating... pictures to come. I want to go yardsaling tomorrow early to hopefully find some old vintage beach-worn looking stuff... we will see. As my friend Alana says "mind over mattress"!

Building Things

So I know I dont post regularly but we have been buisy around the house. We are re-doing our guest bedroom. The pillow covers are what inspired me. Thats why I took a picture of them. Brad has done most of the work tho, he built the frame around the window and he put new and much bigger baseboards on.... and we still are going to do white waynes coating that will be about 4 to 4 1/2 feet high up the walls. I wanted to find some beach worn wood to make the room look "pierish" since I love the piers in Cali but I am still working on that. Brad also made my 3 big boxes in our living room which is the top picture. Next on Brad's wishlist is a planer and a jointer so he can start building furniture. Anyone care to donate? You may get some furniture out of it....you never know. We plan to tackle our front entry way next then a coffee table for our living room.... then the master bedroom. Brads just a little worried I want to do waynes coating in there too. Ha! Hes right! I told him I wanted it through the whole house and he just gave me a wide eyed stare!

2009 Farmer Family Reuinion

This year Brad and I were in charge of our family reunion. Everyone came down to us and we went swimming to Sandhollow. It was really fun... all except getting the swimmers itch. Eeek. Anyways,thanks everyone. We love having you down. Can't wait for next years reunion! Heres some pictures of throughout the weekend.



We were in Old Navy and Nick and Brad were dancing to a Michael Jackson Song that was playing it was hillarious! I kept catching just the end of their moves, but at least I got a little. HA!



You have to watch careful for Brad to do his "Dip" It totally caught me off guard!
